State of Affairs

I was reading a career blog I subscribe to about affairs that happen during travel. The comment that stuck in my head was this, "It’s very hard to do kids, career and marriage. And be on guard that often the easiest thing to let go is the marriage."

I think that this is common in all walks of life. That is, for our marriage to be taken for granted, and come in last place to all the other distractions. Having said that, Judy and I attending a marriage conference this weekend. I sure we'll hear the same junk we've heard at all four hundred thousand conferences we'd attended before. But I'm glad we carved a little time out from fighting the teenager wars to say, "Hey! Yea you. You really matter to me!"
